Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement

IJAIDR follows the Core Practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Our commitment

Authors, editors, reviewers and the publisher (OriGene Academic Press) are all expected to meet the standards below, which follow the COPE Core Practices and, where relevant, the ICMJE recommendations.

Authors

  • Originality: submit only original work that is not published or under review elsewhere.
  • Data integrity: fabrication, falsification and inappropriate image manipulation are misconduct. Keep raw data available for verification.
  • Authorship: list everyone who made a substantial contribution, and only them. All authors must approve the submission. Changes to the author list after submission require the written agreement of all authors.
  • Citation: cite sources accurately; do not engage in citation manipulation or excessive self-citation.
  • Disclosure: declare all funding and competing interests.
  • Errors: tell the editor promptly about any significant error in your published work.

Editors

  • Judge manuscripts only on their scholarly merit, without regard to the authors' nationality, gender, religion, institution or ability to pay.
  • Keep submissions and reviewer identities confidential.
  • Declare conflicts of interest and step aside from manuscripts where one exists, including their own submissions.
  • Investigate concerns about misconduct following COPE flowcharts.

Reviewers

  • Treat manuscripts as confidential and do not use unpublished material for your own work.
  • Give objective, specific and courteous reports, on time.
  • Declare conflicts of interest and decline where appropriate. Do not ask authors to cite your own work unless it is genuinely relevant.

Research ethics

Research involving human participants must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki, be approved by an appropriate ethics committee and obtain informed consent. Animal research must follow institutional and national guidelines (e.g. CPCSEA in India) and the ARRIVE reporting guidelines. Approval details must be stated in the manuscript.

Complaints

Complaints about the editorial process or about a published article may be sent to submissions@ijaidr.org. We acknowledge complaints within seven days and handle them following COPE guidance. See also Corrections & Retractions.
